Meet the Team Ride 2013 – October 19!

Save the date!

Recycled Cycles Racing will be having our annual meet-the-team ride on Saturday, October 19.

Meet at 9:15 AM, at Pert’s Deli in Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood. We’ll ride the south end of Lake Washington at a social pace. This will be a great opportunity to get to know RCR and for us to get to know you. All racing disciplines welcome.





2012 Star Spangled Crit Series

We’ve got great news!!! As you all know we’re about to hit the peak of crit season with three USAC crtis in five days starting off with:
The Star Spangled Crit Series will combine the results of this action packed week of racing in an overall series winner. Tacoma series leaders will get call ups at Brad Lewis Memorial and Joe Matava. Overall series winners will get some additional prizes, plus bragging rights.
Here’s the details for series scoring. We’re going 10 deep.
  • 1st = 13 points
  • 2nd = 11 points
  • 3rd = 9 points
  • 4th = 7 points
  • 5th = 6 points
  • 6th = 5 points
  • 7th = 4 points
  • 8th = 3 points
  • 9th = 2 points
  • 10th = 1 points
Plus one point for each race and a bonus of two points of you race all three races for a total potential of 5 bonus points.
In the event of a tie, the fine folks at Joe Matava will break the tie with a street sprint or rock, paper, scissors.
We’ll be doing series points for the following categories: (we apologize for there not being a masters series this year, so please save the complaining and come support us so we can have a masters series next year)
  • Mens Pro/Cat1/2
  • Mens Cat 3
  • Mens Cat 4
  • Mens Cat 5
  • Womens 1/2/3
  • Womens 4
  • Junior A/B (Mini-series–just Brad Lewis and Joe Matava)
  • Junior C/D (Mini-series–just Brad Lewis and Joe Matava)

The time has come to throw down, Seattle (and Portland… and everybody else!). The Crit season is upon us and this weekend the hard-men are lining up at…

The 9TH Annual Brad Lewis Memorial Crit (Formerly the Boat street Crit)!!!

The prizes are CRAZY (Mariners Tickets? Wheelsets? Carbon Framesets? We got em!!!!!), the course is one of the toughest anywhere, and the BBQ will be hot!

So who cares if it rains? who cares if you raced on Saturday? Come down to Boat Street on Sunday, April 13th (this Sunday) and see what your made of!!!!
